A New Journey to Japan, Together with the Artist.

Japan, a country that preserves its rich culture and history alongside globally recognized brands, has always captivated car enthusiasts. For Adro, Japan is no exception. This country continually inspires us, and participating in Tokyo Auto Salon, one of Japan's largest automotive events, as our first event of the new year holds immense significance.

2024 was a pivotal year for Adro. Following the success of our BMW M facelift kit, our unique reinterpretation of the Toyota GR Supra gained widespread attention. Building on these achievements, Tokyo Auto Salon marks the beginning of Adro's journey to expand beyond the U.S. and step onto a broader global stage.

Japan-European Blood, American Craftsmanship, and a Japanese Debut

The debut of the Supra Widebody Kit at Tokyo Auto Salon 2025 tells a global story in itself. A Supra with Japanese heritage, European built, a widebody kit designed in the U.S., and its first reveal in Japan—all of this combines to create a product with international significance.

Adro Supra MK5.1 Widebody

As it was our first event in a new location, we deliberated on how to showcase the Supra Widebody Kit in a way that felt fresh and innovative. During this process, one artist I had been following for a while naturally came to mind.

Adro Meets Art

Miguel Rodriguez (@redblueen), a digital artist based in Spain, is renowned for his bold style, which brings together cars, characters, and the mystique of urban nightscapes. His work is strikingly original, weaving intricate stories through his art.

After a few attempts, we finally connected and had deep, albeit brief, conversations about how our Supra Widebody Kit could be integrated into his unique world. Although it took some time to get in touch initially, we immediately felt a strong sense of smooth teamwork starting from our first conversation. The vision of a Supra tearing through dark urban highways and parked in a rain-soaked garage stirred our creative imagination.

The Balance is Everything

The Balance is Everything

The most crucial aspect of working with an artist is maintaining balance. When one side's influence becomes too dominant, the other’s presence can fade. From past experiences, I’ve seen this happen many times, but working with Miguel was an exception. Miguel proved remarkable in his ability to embrace feedback without compromising his style. He actively incorporated our ideas and enriched them with his own innovative concepts. His approach, grounded yet flexible, established a strong sense of trust and collaboration throughout the process. I found myself wondering, "What makes this process so seamless?" In the end, I was able to arrive at the answer: it all comes down to a solidly built foundation.

The transition from low-resolution work for quick concept verification to final quality is truly exhilarating.

Bridging Reality and the Virtual World

The end result exceeded expectations on both sides. Miguel masterfully brought our real-life Supra Widebody Kit into his virtual world. From the scene of a Supra transforming into its widebody version amidst thunder and rain in a small garage to its high-speed run through Tokyo's urban highways at dawn, the visuals beautifully captured the synergy between car and art.

The final masterpiece created by Adro and Redblueen together.

(Easter eggs are hidden, hinting at Adro's upcoming product launches.)

This project is more than just promotional content; it symbolizes Adro's evolving direction and global vision. We hope these stunning visuals, showcased at Tokyo Auto Salon, inspire a broader audience and spark new ideas.
